I understand the point in them, but does anybody else despise these? I don't like them at all. Especially when you are getting on something close to closing time and there are no waits.

I am one of those strange people who enjoy queing...especially TOT, HM, Space M and Splash M. Disney worked hard to make waiting enjoyable on these rides. Now Soarin could be immensely improved...

we didnt have long waits when we visited but i did think the queueing experience was fab. when i came home and told people they couldnt believe it. over here its not the same. i too think tot is really good. the queueing experience just builds up the ride for me and then its not just about a fast or thrilling ride.

one of the pitfalls of having a fastpass is that you pass by the queueing area so quickly sometimes you miss the little details that make up the entire experience.

I love that Disney takes the time to think of interesting queueing areas. The queue areas actually build the story of the ride and it preps the audience in what's to come. It certainly makes a boring wait much more fun.

That's why Disney is so smart: if I walk right on a ride, I think "cool, no line"; if I do have to wait, there are a thousand little things in the queue to distract me from the wait.

I just got back yesterday. Instead of getting a fast pass for the Safari Ride, the sign said 30 minute wait so we went in. About an hour later we got out of line. It was hot, the line was slow going and that phone kept ringing every so often that it was actually getting on my nerves. I thought that line could use more things of interest for sure. When we got out line, we got a fast past, went to Tuskers for lunch and came back. We got in line at the same point we had left. I think they need to rething the timing on the fast passes here. Its seems way too uneven.

I don't mind the queuing scenery or even seeing the little pre-show before the experience, but I can enjoy the Test Track and Dinosaur pre-show so many times before it is no longer interesting, but instead taking my riding time. :)

So which one has your favorite queing area? Mine is the Kali River Rapids---very great with the theming!!! :goodvibes

I think Star Tours is great, but you seldom have to queue up anymore. We were there when it first opened years ago and were really grateful for all the pre-show.

I think it all goes along with Walt Disney's dream. The whole "empire" is built upon the telling of a story. Every attraction has a story behind it, leading up to the unveiling of the attraction itself.

It kind of have a love/hate relationship w/ them. I don't like the room one's where they cram so many people in I feel more intimate w/ them than I should. The Orlando parks really seem to have no sense of personal space. I don't need 3 feet to each side, but please give me a few inches.
I do think the room at HM is really great, the Test Track one bores me now. I just get really antsy over feeling strangers right on top of me.

To me, the best theme park queue anywhere is the one for Dueling Dragons at UO. At WDW, I really like Splash and Space Mtns.

You hit the nail on the head. That is EXACTLY what it is. :badpc:

I like the que lines, but not the rooms. Too many people crammed into a little space. Then, when the doors open, everyone comes even closer together & it's hard to keep your family from being split up. It's especially hard on DD17. She gets claustrophobic so we try to protect her, but it's difficult when everyone keeps being told to move forward.

I like the rooms the first time, but after that I know the story and just want to get on the ride. I wish you could have the option to bypass them if you want to.
