We are contacting DVC this weekend to speak to them about DVC for us UKers. I have researched alot on this and various boards and think I am pretty clued up about the process. Unfortunately we wont be able to do the Tour at WDW before we purchase but we are hoping thats ok.

My query is, from anyone that has joined over the telephone what kind of questions did you ask them??

Any help would be gratefully appreciated :)

BUMP will be very interested in any answers as am too looking into buying, finding it near to impossible to get a uk number to call for dvc info!

We bought sight unseen over the phone. It was an extremely easy process involving almost no effort on our part (except for paying, obviously!) Didn't really have any questions as I'd researched for 18 months before buying!

What I would do Carol, is send them an email off the web page of the DVC section of Disney.com with your contact details and they will call you back. It says something like "contact us" and when you click on it you get a form to email off.

You can also ask fo a UK playable video to watch :teeth: though this is really just an ad for the resorts I think, it didn't tell me anything new (though it's great to watch)

This should be the link to get someone to contact you. Good luck!

Alternatively you can call the main US DVC number and ask for someone to call you right back as you are ringing from the UK. I did this the first time I rang them and they were quite happy to do this (my call took about 5 minutes and cost 50p)

Looks like they have changed to DVD now rather than video.

We did this and it was all very simple with no pressure from our guide at any stage of the process (but then I was a fairly willing 'target'! ;) ).

I'd done a lot of research before I spoke to our guide but have to admit I couldn't see the advantages of DVC vacations over WDW moderate resort trips that we were used to  . Then I received the written information and everything fell into place when I could see for myself exactly what a certain number of points would 'buy' at the times we were likely to visit WDW! :teeth: I asked more questions on the boards and then asked a guide to call me.

I don't remember the questions I asked at the time but everything was answered fully and I never felt I was being a nuisance by asking things. My guide always called me back if I rang her, so there were no nasty phone bills. I was on the phone for nearly an hour once, so that was a huge plus point in my view!
