Hey y'all. I'm finally going to take the plunge (pun intended) and visit a water park on my next visit to WDW. It looks like Typhoon Lagoon is the only one that will be open, so my decision is made for me. Has anyone here done a solo trip to a Typhoon Lagoon? It looks like this park only has one multi-rider attraction, Gang Plank Falls. Since I'm solo, will they just pair me with other people? I would hope that I wouldn't have to miss out on this attraction just because I'm solo.

I plan on riding all the slides and tube rides, but will probably spend the majority of my time in Castaway Creek. I may also try swimming with the sharks. I think this all means that the best place for me to stake my spot would be near Typhoon Tilly's and the lockers there. Is that the best spot for me? Any other hints, tips, or tricks I should know? I'm excited about this trip for many reasons, but going to TL is a big one. This is my 13th trip to WDW and I'm just now going to a water park. And people wonder why I keep going back. :teeth:

When I lived in Orlando for a while I went to TL a lot solo to spend the day. I never had any problems - and I ended up meeting a bunch of people, especially in Castaway Creek. Always had a good time - I think you will too! The first time I went alone I was nervous about appearing funny, whatever, but it wasn't even close to an issue.

Have fun!

Thanks! I plan on it.

Anyone else have any info to share? I'm specifically wondering about answers to my questions about Gang Plank Falls and whether the area of picked to stake my spot at are good.

I wish I could answer your question about the rides, but they all jumble in my brain. However, since you are talking about the exact spot that I stayed at during my trip to TL, I do have info. on that. It was a perfect spot because I passed right by the smoking section and found a little tree-enclosed area right above the wave pool. I chose it to be near the lockers and rest area. Also, it was a short walk to the shark area, the wave pool and one of the entrances to the Lazy River. Also, I don't think it was that far to some of the slides, but I got a little confused, because I've only been there once and didn't rely on a map, how the slides were laid out. I didn't have any problems and I loved the area that we chose. So I would definately recommend the area you've staked out. Have fun!!! :p
