I am using my George cart to cut tags on my Cricut for autographs for my upcoming trip.

I have two questions:

1. If I cut the at 5" so that I can cut matching shadows when I complete my l/o's will they be big enough for the characters to sign? I purchased fine point retractable sharpies to use for signing.

2. How many tags should I make for each child? We will be there for five days.

Thanks!

You should be fine. I cut 5" tags from the Tags Bags Boxes and More cart and used the same markers. Characters had no problem at all. Are you bringing a clipboard as well? Having something to write on will be an issue.

How many per kid? THat is a hard one. I would start by figuring out the number of characters you will meet at character meals. Next, it kind of depends on what your touring plans are. We like to stop for all of the characters. In DHS we met all 5 power rangers, Kim & Ron, Mr & Mrs Incredible, Frozone, sorcerer Mickey, Handy Manny, 3 Little Einsteins, Donald, Pocahontas & Meeko, Jafar, Friar Tuck, Prince Caspian, Buzz & Woody, Sheriff of nottingham, Queen of Hearts, Tweedledee and dum, Goofy & Max .... so that is a lot of tags!

In the end, how every many you decide on, make 20% more. You can always use the tags for gifts and other projects.

Thanks!

Yes, I am making clipboards using the instructions I found on the boards here! I am almost finished with ds's (Mickey theme) and then I need to make for my niece (Hannah Montana theme) and my nephew (basketball theme). I will post them when I am finished.

I think I am going to be spending the next 18 days cutting tags!! We are doing 5 character meals (Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and dinner, Playhouse Disney, and Tusker House). And I intend to be fairly aggressive in hunting down characters (especially since we pre purchased Photopass so I may as well get as many pic from CM's as possible!).

Sounds like my kind of trip!

I made the clipboards too. They are great. Not sure if it is in the directions here, but definitely use a sealer. They sell it right next to the modge podge in craft stores. I didn't use one the first time and the boards got tacky in the humidity. This last trip in September, I used the sealer and I didn't have that issue. Let me know if you need more info, I'll find the can if you need it.

Which cricut do you have? I have the expression and used the 12x24 mats and paper. I finished it in one night -- I think I had 200 tags for a 12 day trip -- 3 kids, but only one was really into the autographs.

Unfortunately for me I have the Baby Bug so I can only cut three tags per 6x12 piece of paper!

Thanks for the tip about the sealer.

Well then, it will take more than one night! Please let me know if you have any more questions. I have benefitted from so many on this board, I am happy to return the favor.

This is a great idea! I can figure out how to make the tags....but how did you do the clipboards????? Does anyone have any pics of them????

Thanks! I just loved this project. Thanks again for taking the time to post it.
