Okay...I have a few questions for this very knowledgeable board. First a little background. I've been to WDW about 25 times with my family on vacations (we live in NY), so I can of grew up on it. I worked there as a College Program CM for a couple semesters and had a ridiculous time there. My parents and I went there a couple years ago and unfortunately my dad got sick and we didn't end up using our Park Hopper Passes. My girlfriend and I have decided to go next month (it'll be a little hot, but couldn't beat the price).

Okay, here are the questions. I know the Park Hopper passes never expire, but is there anywhere I can call/email to see if mine are still in affect? Just the thought of something going wrong once I get downt here and having to pay $400 for a couple tickets isn't very appealing.

Also, does anyone know what rides might be down for rehab at that time (mid August)? Is Carousel of Progress still open? Oh and how/when should I make reservations to eat dinner in the castle?

Thanks for any help!

We had a similar ticket situation several years ago. We got them checked at Downtown Disney. The lady who helped us said you can get them checked at any Disney Store.

If the Disney store is out of the way, I would call first, just to be sure!

Sweeeeet. Carousel of Progress is open while that Stitch ride is under construction. I wish they still had the "Now is the Time" song, though.

That's a new one to me. Last time I was in a Disney Store, most of the CMs didn't even know they sold Annual Pass vouchers.

I'd call and ask first if they can check the passes. I really don't think that they can.

WDW used to have a phone number you could call and find out what was left on the pass. But all that ended up doing was facilitating the resale market on eBay--giving people a number to call and verify the days remaining on a used pass before bidding. Since that service was discontinued, I've always been told that the only place you could verify the number of days left on a pass was at WDW itself.

In 2002 I went to WDW alone and had two PHP with 1 day on each, I wanted to check this before I left and went to a DS but was told the only place they could check them was at the Parks. When I got there, I went to TTC and I asked, they also told me they are the only ones that could do this. But I have read on these threads that people have been able to use their old passes, what I read was that most people would use them to upgrade to a 4-day PH or something similar. You get credit for the value of the ticket or you can use them as is. HTH

Let us know if you try checking those passes at the Disney Store. We never did need did check ours there, but I would like to know if this is good information or not.

... just passing on what the lady told us ... I think it was about two years ago.

I've heard the same thing, that you can only verify leftover days at WDW.

As far as priority seating, you can make them 90 days in advance, so if you are going next month, I would call ASAP. The phone number is 1-407-WDW-DINE.

Have fun!

TDS can not check for you. WDW discontinued the phone number for verifying pass's due to the resale market at places like eBay. You have to go to a guest service counter at WDW to have them checked now.

My suggestion: if you still have any Cast Member friends at WDW, contact them and see what they can do for you!

Any Disney Resort should be able to check, so at least you'll know before you actually get to the parks. If these are the PHPs that you used when your dad got sick, the days will not have expired. If you went before Animal Kingdom was open, then you will not have access to that park.
