We'll be at Universal on Oct 29,30 and Nov 2. "We includes me, DH, DS 8, DS20, and DS's GF 20. We already have a condo for the week and the $99.00 7day tickets.
This is our 1st time, so bear with me.
I've been thinking about getting a room onsite for the 29th, that way we could use FOTL for the 29th and 30th AND the older two could stay for HHN.
Would it be worth the extra expense? Will we need FOTl during that week? It would be much cheaper for thm to just take a cab back to the condo.
Thanks for any help!

Having unlimited Express access as a hotel guest is always nice but I doubt you will need Express as the parks are generally slow that time of year. Taxis are in great supply after HHN so it won't be a problem grabbing one since it will be cheaper than getting a room.

Here's another question...

My girlfriend and I are planning on going to IOA on Dec. 22. My girlfriend has never been here before, so she wants to at least be able to see everything. However, she will not ride any thrill rides i.e. Hulk, JP, Dragons, DD. We are wondering if we buy a 1 day, 1 park ticket and happen to finish IOA early that day (I'm sure of course this will depend heavily on the crowds), if we could upgrade our ticket to a hopper and do Universal and still only pay an additional $30 (1 day, 1 park = $79; 1 day, 2 parks = $109)?

Yes...you can upgrade your tickets at Guest Services at either park.

She's exactly like me; won't do any of the thrill rides. She might not want to do any water rides either in December. Makes for a very short day in IOA.

Thanks for the responses... I guess we are just going to prepare for the worse for crowds. My only prior trip to IOA, pre WWoHP, we rode all rides 4-6x b/c of light crowds. Ideally, we do WWoHP right away, and single rider line for all other thrill rides; leave IOA later afternoon and get in whatever we can at US.

Does this sound reasonable? Or will the Xmas (12/22 to be exact) crowds be unbearable?

Historically the crowds before Christmas aren't too bad. It's busy but not unbearable. The huge crowds don't arrive until 12/26.

How did you get the 7 day tickets for $99? Thanks heaps!
This was an offer that was out for several years until the ticket price increase this January. I believe I was one of the las to purchase them before they ran out. :goodvibes
They are not available anymore.
