I'm thinking about getting DH an Ipod for his birthday. He'd like one for audiobooks and a little bit of music, mostly when exercising. He can't use an Ipod at work for security reasons -- no recording devices allowed. He might listen in the car, but it has a tape deck, so he could use the tape converter.
Does anyone know how much space the audiobooks take up? I'm trying to decide whether I should get a 1G or 4G Ipod. How much does it cost to download the audiobooks? What's your favorite download site for books?
Also, is the white or black finish better for not showing scratches? Any other recommendations for "must haves" with the Ipod (acessories, etc.)?
Thank you for your help!

. It's an awesome toy!
It's made of the same metal iPod made the Minis out of, and my Nano fits in it like a glove. It's inexpensive, it was shipped very quickly & I was even sent a personal note (turns out the owner of the company lives in the same town as me--small world.
