Questions about VMK in WDW

BriarRosie,

It may have changed to this. I know that in the recent past (2 years ago) you needed *both* an admission ticket and the hard ticket for the event.

As far as whether you'll be able to do both, the only ones who know is WDW and they'll tell you if you can/can't when you try.

I think the confusion seems to be whether you're inside the park prior to the
park closing around 6pm. If you are already at the park on a general
admission ticket that day, the hard ticket is proof of purchase, in order to
get the wristband to allow you to stay in the park while the cast members
clear the park of the day guests.

But when you enter the party after the day guests leave, all guests are
party goers, so they use their party tickets through the turnstiles to get in.

One fried told me she used the party ticket after 4pm, and the turnstile
accepted it. She got her wristband since she arrived earlier than the
park closing for the party, and she was one of the people herded into
a land while they cleared the day guests out of the park.

I think the 4pm strategy is terrific. It doesn't make a difference to me,
as I can use my AP to get in, but I think it's a great tip for those who use
multi-day passes (and didn't enter a park that day).

I've been racking my brains out, trying to think how they did it with us in the past. I vaguely remember 2 different MNSSHPs. The one year, they scanned our tickets, the other year they didn't. We were already in the park for that day. Anyway, if VMK is open, I'd ALMOST be willing to be my life that you could use your MNSSHP ticket for your VMK stuff. I say this because I have friends who will be doing the party this year. They do not have any annual pass or any other pass for that matter. So the event ticket would be the only thing they'd have. So making that inference, you should be able to use your MNSSHP ticket if VMK is open during the event.

This is my first MNSSHP but I have been to two MVMHP and on special event called This Is Love. They allowed you to get into the park at 4pm with the event ticket. Any earlier and you had to use a regular ticket to get in and then your event ticket to get a wristband.

As far as doing the tour more than once. What would be the befefit of that? You can't do the quests again right so you would only have a chance at the trivia. Has anyone done this? We can do it twice most likely we are there for 8 days and have lot of MK time built inmy the schedule but I didn't think that it was worht it.

Hmm... That could be interesting. That would mean I could go to multiple Halloween events (I plan on one atleast anyway) and also use my AP... I think I've found something to do with some of my weekends in October :)

on the tour you ahve to wait either 30 or 90 days between tours.
you can do the quests more than once but only the first time you will get the cards since they scan your ticket. so do the quests and tour with the regular ticket and than go abck and do the quests again with the halloween ticket you should get the cards for both times.
the tours are at 1 and 4pm everyday. sign up for the tour as fast as you can since they tend to fill up fast.

Actually, you can do the quests again, if they're tying it to your ticket. If you use your admission ticket for one and your event ticket for another...

The benefit is to get more things for trading... To do the tour more than once might be trickier, since there are only a few tour guides and they'd prolly remember you. Not sure what they'd do if they caught you trying to do the tour more than once. I haven't read the fine print on the tour card.

Regarding the tour and quests at WDW, does anyone know if the Haunted Mansion Quest will still be a part of the tour or will it be replaced with the Pirate Quest, or will they have both?

We are going in December and I so want to get the items from the Haunted Mansion Quest provided that we are able to book the tour. I am worried that it will be crowded and booked up completely. We are only going to be there for three days.

AWESOME! We are going to the party twice so that means that I can do it 2 times on our regular tickets and 4 times on our party tickets. Yikes that means a lot of cool stuff!

I never thought of that. Thanks so much!

Lisa~

It looks like we will be at WDW at the same time! We are a party of seven or eight (depending on whether or not we can talk the eighth person into joining us for the VMK stuff), so you can't miss us. We will be there Oct. 3rd thru 8th, and will be doing MNSSP on Thursday evening. I've been looking at your picture; hopefully I'll recognize you and be able to say 'hello'. The crowds should be great except for your last weekend. I am already wanting to pack! :goodvibes
