We are staying at Broadwalk from May 10th thru 16th. My sister is coming down for the PPP on May 9th. My question is would it be alright for her and her two sons to come over and swim at the Broadwalk that morning after the party. I want to see if it is okay before I offer it to them. I know someone out there has the answer. Thanks!!

You need to get that permission from the front desk at BWV, and they can't really say until the day, because it depends on their occupancy and expected pool crowds that day.

Thank you so much!!! I knew someone would know.

The answer is based on the room occupancy of the villa that you have. If you are within the limits yes, they can swim. You can also ask when you are there.

OH yeah, I forgot about the room occupancy thing.

Okay question on that. We are staying in a one bedroom. So does that mean we can have five people in the pool. The reason why I asked is because it will only be my sister, 2 kids, and myself in the pool. My DH and her DH will be walking around boardwalk.

I just want to make sure that I do no wrong. Thanks again for all of your help!!:)

Should be fine as long as it's fine with the front desk.

We were at OKW 2 weeks ago and some friends who live in the Orlando area came over and spent the day with us at the pool. We just called the front desk and gave them their names and were told to have the guests give our names and villa number at the guard shack. We were in a studio with 4 already and nothing was said about occupancy number. Not sure if that depends on resort. :goodvibes

That was for getting into the resort, but what about the pool? It probably does depend on the resort, because OKW seems to always have a lot of "locals" visiting.

When we called the front desk we asked if they would be allowed to swim with us. They said no problem. But we wanted to make sure before our friends were turned away at the gate.

Did you call the day of their arrival or prior to checking in?? See we will be in Old Key West until that day and then we will be checking in to Boardwalk. I wasn't sure if I need to call ahead of time or not.

For what it's worth, we have stayed at BWV many, many times and have never been asked for any kind of ID at the pool. Maybe someone else has been "carded," but we haven't been.

I just want to say congrats on almost being done with nursing school. I'm also in nursing school (my program is 1st year LPN and second year RN), so I can imagine how good it must feel to almost be done. We are also going in May and I plan on enjoying my time off, even if it is not nearly long enough.

Thank you so much!! I cannot wait to be done. Everyday I feel my body relaxing more and more as each day goes away. I have finish everything but my preceptorship and passing the RN access test (similar to the NCLEX). I leave for Disney my last day of class which is May 7th and will come back May 16th for my pinning ceremony on May 17th. How much longer do you have to go? It goes by so fast. Also when are you going to Disney??

We called about 20 minutes before their arrival.

My sister lives in Tampa and drives to WDW one time a year to visit us during one of our multiple visits to Orlando a year. I always ask the front desk at check in and also the day of the visit if my sister and family can hang with us at the resort and pool for the day. My request has never been denied for what it is worth. One stay at the Polynesian Concierge, the staff told us my sister's family was also more than welcome to enjoy the concierge lounge as well which was an unexpected surprise. DVC properties where I have made the request were BCV and SSR. I thought I would be denied at BCV but was told they could use the pool. (Two teenagers uses SAB while the grownups had cocktails all afternoon!) I would say odds are in your favor but just keep in mind that they can say no.

I bet you do feel more relaxed with each day! Well, you might have a little stress about you access test, but hopefully that is good stress. I will have my LPN license in July (after taking the NCLEX-PN, of course) and will be done with my RN in May 2009. We are going to be at Disney the 18th - 23rd and I am counting down the days.
