Question regarding Giants Parade/reporting

A reporter for ABC just said that when the Giants won in '91 that didn't get a parade - we were in the Gulf War. ?! What are we in now?

That just struck me as a stupid comment. Anyone?

I believe when the Giants won in 91 they had a celebration at the stadium in NJ where they actually play.

This year NY decided to do the ticker tape thing.

I could be wrong, it could've been the previous Giants win but I don't remember there not being a celebration of some type because of a war.

In 1987 Koch didn't want a parade. he said they left NY for NJ let Nj give them a parade. In 1991 Dinkins was Mayor

LOL... can you blame him... I think the whole... We claim the name NY but practice and play in NJ was odd.

Yesterday the were giving out VIP passes to New Yorkers only.. now you know plenty of Jersey fans were going today.

Thankfully the are having a celebration opened everyone at Giant Stadium right after the parade.
