Question re checking in

I was just wondering if you have to present a credit card when checking in as i only have debit cards.

You only need a credit card if you want to use your hotel id to charge purchases against.
I suspect if you used your debi card they would probably put a charge against it immediately and you would probably be charged commission and currency transaction charges.
