Question on the Mousefest Event

Anyone who questions the specifics and details of an act as generous as the Party the Pod Squad is throwing for us at Mouse Fest is completely missing the point. I for one am amazed at the generosity the Dis team shows it's listeners. They don't have to do the wonderful things they do to retain our loyalty, but they do. John has to physically restrain Pete from giving away everything he owns on the prizematron!! They don't have to sponsor a Podcast cruise, but they are. Just trust them to be as fair as is humanly possible with the list of attendees. Some folks who wish to be there, won't be. It's just as simple as that. That's life. Try to be positive. It's rude to second guess people who are giving as much as they are and asking for nothing but patience in return.

Here's an idea...

Those of us that don't make the list can have another meet...maybe Rix for Moejeetoes or something...so that we don't feel so left out. The ones that don't make the list will have the opportunity to meet the Pod Squad earlier in the day, at the MegaMouseMeet.

Those of us who do get on the list...what say we do a little carpooling, to take some of the burden off of DU? I have an economy car...if you want to get friendly, I can transport up to 4 other people to their resorts, whether offsite or onsite. I promise that if I drive you, I WILL NOT be having a DATW that day! Anyone else renting a car with space to carpool?

That's a great idea!! If I am lucky enough to get on the list, I can take 4!!

Good ideas on the transportation issue. We will take Disney Transpo to DHS and if necessary a cab back to CBR! We might have room in the cab for a few heading that way, or we could get a van if enough people warrant it.

I'm sorry, but I feel like alot of you are ganging up on one dis'er who just expressed a concern about the signing up - hoping we, as Dis Unplugged fans, get first crack after the DU clients. She wasn't rude or disrespectful about it. Everyone on this thread is blown away by the Team's generosity, me included. Honestly, everyone should chill . . . including those who are "flaming" the one who mentioned a concern.

And, in all fairness, some of you who are strongly voicing your opinion that everyone should just chill . . . are already included on the Party List.

Sorry, I don't agree with you. I thought it was rude to "look a gift horse in the mouth." If someone is giving you something, you don't suggest how it's given. It isn't gracious. Say Thank you. That's it.

We too can give a ride to a couple of people if needed if it helps out the transportation issue. That is if we get in. LOL

So I am still confused - how will we know when the list is available? Will there be a thread telling us what time? I know the memo says at the "Notes" of the podcast page, so I continue to check there.

I guess to jump in on the "concerns" list, my only concern would be people signing up for the meet at TSMM that haven't even planned a trip and are still "maybe" as far as even having a trip down. Regardless, the DIS is being incredibly generous and I will certainly be grateful if I can be part of the group at DHS that night. The whole shebang sounds phenomenal. THANKS PODCAST CREW! Just the excitement of maybe getting to go to this has me incredibly excited for my fist Mousefest.

I will be leading the walk back to Dolphin assuming I am at the Meet. If anyone wants to join Mickey_Chic and me on our free transportation back, we will enjoy the company!

im so incredibly excited! i just cant wait for mousefest in general and I really want to meet the pod crew. This will be my first and probably last mousefest for a very long time. I just hope that I can get a spot. P.S. I have special college program transportation so im covered! woo hoo!
