Question on Reservation at CBR

We are going down to the World in August for a week. My sister and nieces will be joining us for about 24 hours, driving 3 hours from Northern Florida. I am paying for their hotel room and tickets. I have booked my room and her room through different reservations on the AAA Web Site. I have already paid for her night, first night deposit paid, but am wondering what will need to happen at check in.

Her reservation is for the day after we arrive. DD and I will be at Epcot when she finally gets up and drives down. Will I need to check her in? Will they need my credit card at the time of her check in?

As long as her name is on the reservation she should be able to check in with proper identification. She will need to present a credit card for just in case charges billed to the room, standard practice at any hotel. You can switch it to your card anytime after she checks in if you need to. Hopefully she has a credit card, not debit as they would actully freeze cash in her account with a debit card(most hotels have a sign urging guest not to use debit cards at check in). Make sure she has her confirmation number or documents if you have them.

To be on the safe side carry a cell phone, give her the number and have it on vibrate or other mode so youll know its ringing even if you're in a noisy spot.

I speak as a seasoned traveller, not a CBR veteran. My mother and I will be in the same boat. She may arrive before me and may be checking us in. Our reservation is the same, so a bit different than what you have. I am excited to be staying at CBR as my first on site visit.

Of course I am being selfish, making them go to Disney again this year. And I want to upgrade to a moderate from a value, no way I would make her pay for me being selfish. I am sure she will be loving the year I decide to stay at a deluxe.
