Question on MCO and outlet malls

I was wondering how far are you to the outlet malls from the airport? Would it make sense to go check in at the Dolphin or would it make sense for us to go to the outlet malls first? If we are not that far from the outlet I would rather go shopping first, eat dinner and then check in since we arriving around 4pm in the afternoon. Thanks.

Do you have a specific outlet mall in mind? If you're thinking of the Premium outlets or that other outlet center off of 535 (can't remember the name, they're just south of the 417) then I would say go ahead and check in and get your stuff dropped off first. If you want to go to the Prime outlets (formerly Belz), then you're probably better off going there first. You can get on the 528 heading west to I-4 and then get on I-4 eastbound. You'll get off at the I-Drive exit and head right towards I-Drive. Take a left at the light (you should see Wet & Wild right in front of you) and head up I drive until it ends to get to the outlets. Needless to say, don't try this at 5:00 PM since these roads can get congested Happy shopping!
