Why do smokers keep their cigarettes held outside of their car windows?

I'm going to say so ashes don't fall in the car.

Why do they sell 10 hots dogs in a package and only 8 buns:confused3

Yeah, but there's ashtrays for that! :upsidedow

ETA- Good question about the dogs/bun ratio.

So the smoke goes out the window and doesn't stay and linger in the car.

Ashtrays are rarely used anymore, heck most new cars don't even have them.

Why do smokers think it's ok to throw their trash (cigarettes) on the ground?

Which always makes me think of this:

why are there littering laws that are never enforced?

I've always wanted to go up to a 'littering smoker' and ask them why they think they can litter. Not snarky, but just out of curiousity. I don't have the nerve though.

Why is it that I can NEVER remember to bring my reusable tote bags (that are sitting right on the back seat of my car) into the grocery store with me?:confused3 I only remember them when I'm checking out.:headache:

Psychological marketing. If you buy a package of both you will have 2 hotdogs left when you run out of buns. Many people will then purchase another package of buns which will leave them 6 buns. They don't want to waste them, so they buy another package of hotdogs. It is only after purchasing 4 packages of hotdogs and 5 of buns that you even out.

It is the same with buy one get 1/2 off sales. Unless you were going to buy two anyway you aren't saving 50%, you are spending 50% more.

One of my local grocery stores now has a HUGE sign at the entrance "Don't forget your re-usable bags". I think they put that up just for me. Wasn't that nice of them!
;)

No debate to have. The egg is an evolutionary precursor to the chicken. Even if you're a creationist, the creatures of the sea came before fowl.

Do people really buy that many hot dogs/buns at once? :confused3

I don't think it is all at once. I think it is over time to utilize the remaining product.

Here is one to ponder. Why is it that when I send a package by ship it is cargo but that same package sent via a car or truck is a shipment?
