We'll be at MK in May and I'd like to take the ferry over for a late breakfast there and check out the resort (I've always wanted to stay there). However, we're vacationing with MIL and FIL and they both can't walk long distances due to spine/hip problems, and they would have to leave their electric carts at MK before boarding the Ferry. So, how long would you say the walk is from where the ferry docks at WL to Whispering Canyon? Is it uphill or are there any stairs to climb?

You may want to check with the transportation desk because they may be able to take them on the boat. I know that we have been able to just roll our stroller on the boat when we have stayed there. It is a little bit of a walk to the Whispering Canyon from the boat dock. There is also a direct bus from MK to WL and that may be another option. I believe that the distance from the bus stop to WCC is a little shorter. We have enjoyed our breakfasts at WCC as well as dinners.

Have a great time at WDW!!

it is a wood boardwalk from the boat. your best bet would be to maybe take a bus it is not a bad walk but from the pool to the lobby you have a couple choices. you can walk outside that involves stairs or inside on a big incline ramp. the bus will let you off and is it a small incline to the lobby if not take a cab it would probably on be a 5.oo fare and they will drop you off right at the lobby doors. it is a great place to see have fun
