Question for those that live in Indiana?

For those that live in Indiana, it seems like the state doesn't do daylight savings (or as I like to call it, "The state that daylight savings forgot"). I'm trying to plan my Riddle Con driving and I'm trying to drive from Santa Claus, IN to Louisville, KY in one day. Then I'll be heading to Ohio the next day. So how will the time change in July? Will I be losing or gaining an hour from Indiana to Kentucky?

I live "next door" and most parts of Indiana will be one hour behind KY & Ohio. So you will be losing an hour going that way.

I'm not from Indiana but I've been there before. Just pretend that IN is on CDT (Cental Daylight Time). The same as it is in Illinois. So if you were going from IN to KY your time would jump aheard one hour. If you were going from OH to IN you would lose ahead one hour. So if it was 9:00 in Ohio, it would be 8:00 in IN.

Boy I hope I got that right. But I know that if it is 9:00 in Ohio it will be 8:00 in IN. How I remember is that IN is on Ohio time in the winter and IL time in the summer.

Mos Mom is right.

Instead of the entire state being on one time zone, certain "border" counties tend to follow their neighboring states (Illinois, Kentucky).

I grew up in CLARK county (one of the blue counties Mos Mom's link), and I the summer, we always had to adjust our watches when we left the area.

LOL, yeah, we're weird. Right now we're on Ohio time, in the summer we'll be on Illinois time. What fun huh? lol
