DH and I are planning a family trip in May, 2005. It will be DH, DD(6), DD (almost 4) and myself. We are going for about 9 days and my mother is planning on joining us for the second half of our trip.

So, with all that said, here is my question: We want to stay at a moderate resort. I like CBR, but I don't believe the rooms will accomodate 5 people (for when my mother arrives). I'm aware that CSR has the Junior Suites (and if anybody has stayed in one, I'd appreciate info there), but if at all possible, we'd obviously like to try to keep expenses down. Is there a moderate resort that can accomodate 5?

Or should we just stay at CBR for the first half of the the trip and and switch to CSR with a Junior Suite for the second half? Does any of this make sense to anybody else?? I'm not really sure what to do here, so any advice would be helpful!

Thanks a lot! :teeth:

get adjoining rooms at either resort. I'm not aware that any of the moderates have junior suites but I could be wrong. I have a friend who goes and stays in the moderate resorts - they have 6 people. They always get an adjoining room.

Those junior suites at CSR are two connecting rooms that have been outfitted differently, and I think they are generally priced about the same as two rooms!

You can legally stay at PO-R with 5 people, but you will have to pay $15 extra.

If you decide to go with two rooms, make sure to ask for "connecting" not "adjoining" rooms if you want a door that opens the two rooms up to each other.

Hey!!!

Our family of 5 stayed at POR for our first trip to WDW- DH, DS-10, DS-8, DD-6, and me. These rooms are in the Alligator Bayou section of POR and have two double beds and a trundle bed. My three children fought over who got the trundle bed, and had to make up a nightly schedule for themselves!!!:yo-yo: This was the only moderate that would accomodate 5 in a room at that time - CSR has been built since, so I cannot address that part of your question!

Have a great trip, I'm sure you'll find something to suit your family, WDW has so many choices!!

Thanks so much for all the replies!! :wave2:

From what I'm reading, it looks like POR is the resort to look into. I've never been there, but I like the idea of trying out a new resort - it sounds great!
