or anyone else who would know for sure...

I read something from you a while back about adding some citywalk resturants to the meal deal...is that over? is it only for non peak times? and do you think they will be offering it the week of thanksgiving? Im trying to buy a couple of meal deals each week so I can get ahead...please let me know before i waste money on 1 park meal deals when i can get the 2 park with citywalk added.
TIA

I don't know if it will be offered during Thanksgiving week. It was supposed to be an addition since the parks were closing earlier in off-season. When the parks close at 5 or 6, it didn't give people enough time to eat inside the parks. Thanksgiving isn't off season so I honestly don't know if Citywalk will be included then or not. I'd buy the one park and then just upgrade to the two park when you are there if Citywalk restaurants are still available on the meal deal.

Edited to add; I just found out that it will include Citywalk over Thanksgiving just not at Christmas or Spring Break.

Hey thanks for the reply...I called the RP concierge and Im not sure if I understood correctly...(she had a very heavy accent) but she told me that they will not be honoring the meal deal on Thanksgiving day...maybe i just didnt understand right...lol I dont know. I might as well just plan for the most expensive and if its otherwise...then oh well.
thanks again for your reply...and if you have any new info between now and then please lmk

i can't imagine that RP would have any information on the meal deal as the RPR resort is not included in the two park meal deal. Possibly the were referring to the kids eat free vacation packages. I don't know about the hotel packages just what is offered in the parks.

Citywalk will be included in the 2 park meal deal for all of thanksgiving weekend.

psst, jilly.......see phamton's edit above

psst, mac....i did see the edit...but Hard Rock sold me tickets for the meal deal in july when we went so I thought they would have some info on it, you would think concierge would know something about the parks since its probably what they get asked most about.
thanks for the replys

The meal deal should be good on Thanksgiving but I'm not sure I would go expecting a Thanksgiving meal. All of the places have specific menus for the meal deal.

If you have a question about the parks, ask guest services at the park. If you have a question about the hotels ask the concierge. If you have a question about Citywalk, ask guest services there. Although they all have some information about the other areas, it's somewhat limited. It's hard to stay informed about all areas.

jilly, i gotcha now.

i mailed off the meal deal paper to another diser on the forums yesterday. it was the only one i had. i got it from the on site hotel when i was there in october.

it did list to check with city walk if you bought the 2 park meal deal for what is allowed there between 5 to 10? or was it 9.......
since i don't have it in front of me i can't say for sure.

concierge can call city walk or guest services to get the info for you.

but, what phamton said sounds better advice.

when i was at the hotel last month, there was a package for meals for the kids. since i went solo, i was not interested in that package and i booked separate as i have the ap now.

either call concierge or do what phamton mentioned.
