Question for long time users!!

I posted on here to rent a DVC condo. I got a few people that have the dates I need. How do I know they are serious and not going to just take my money? Is there anything on this site that people can post feedback? Thank you for any help!

There is no place for feedback but you can view as many of a person's past posts as you want to. Just click on a person's screen name and read past posts. By reading what a person has done in the past, it will let you know if they have rented before and possibly even who they rented to. Send a private message to those other renters and ask them how it went. You should get a pretty good idea by looking up someone's history. If they have been associated with this site for any length of time, chances are that they are legitimate. If they weren't, they would have been run out of town by now.

Trubiano, it all revolves around your comfort with the owner and trust. Owners can lose as well. Most owners in this forum are experts and are not out to take anybodies money. As the above OP said track the posts of the people you have communicated with. The only downside to this is people like myself. Brand new owner with to many points. I have no rental history......but I found or should I say I was found by a person who never rented before and we worked together. So far so good....ressie made...deposit received. But she doesn't know me....so its about trust.

Renting involves a LOT of trust. If you think this might be a difficult thing for you, avoid the stress and book directly thru WDW. There are some people for whom renting works very well, and others for whom it does not. You have got to figure out if this is really for you.

FWIW....you may have a harder time renting because you have so few posts. Owners also get nervous when people who want to rent have very few posts.
