Last night, I was reading, and I looked over at Fergie, who had her eyes open. Next thing I knew, she flopped over and fell off the bed.
I was convinced she was having a stroke (really, I was.) She got up off the floor and was limping (she landed on her shoulder when she fell off the bed). I picked her up (and I was panicking at this point) and called her name. Then she was fine. She got back into bed and I kept on petting her to make sure she was conscious. She eventually nipped my hand to make me stop bothering her, and this morning she's back to her old self.
It sounds to me like she fell asleep with her eyes open. I am going to take her to the vet just to make sure.
What do you think?

He's fallen off before, rubbing my leg and losing his balance. And he's always embarrassed about falling, so he won't talk to me afterwards! (Oh, and they both semi-mostly-doze with their eyes open, so it could be the sleeping thing too!)
