Question: Buffets at WDW for Scent-Sensitive Guests

Hello, Disney Friends,

My cousin, who travels to WDW with us often. has an issue where she cannot smell different things at once or she will get a migraine (Like Hibachi type places, etc.); not sure if anyone else has this issue as well. We have tried Crystal Palace and that didn't work out as the restaurant is not large enough and the ventilation was not very good. I have heard of some restaurants that have buffets that are large enough where the tables could be far enough from the buffet but we didn't want to take the chance. For my Grad trip, I wanted to schedule a character buffet as many of the people travelling with us want to experience this. We have also tried Garden Grill and 'Ohana and both of these were fine. Another place we wanted to try was Trails End, but we didn't know how large or how the ventilation.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ is outside.

1900 Park Fare is pretty big.

I've always thought Crystal Palace was one of the bigger locations and that the food was more separated from the seats (Tusker House possibly the only one more separated). So if that didn't work, I don't think any really would.

We were seated very close to the buffet at Trails End two weeks ago and from what I saw, it is smaller then Crystal Palace and a lot less open.

I might suggest Whispering Canyon if you are looking for BBQ in the area since you can get the all you care to eat skillet but won’t have the buffet aspect.

I would skip the Beirgarden, to me sauerkraut stinks!!
