Question about WDW in November....

In order to round out our year and get one final use out of our year passes, we were thinking of going back in November.

What are the crowd patterns like? Is it better to go early in the month? Later in the month? avoid Veterens Day? Is is more crowded right before or right after Thansgiving? (We would avoid Thanksgiving weekend).

We were there from the Dec 6-14 last year and have to go back and finish our visit before Dec 6th.

I have found that the crowds the two days before and the day of Thanksgiving are pretty busy....but the Day after it's a ghost town! And all the Christmas Decorations are up...its BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

I am wondering if the crowds over Veterens Day are bad... we only have one day off (a Thursday so maybe it wouldnt bad).

Back in 1999, we went the week before Thanksgiving week. It was slow then and that is went they started putting up the Christmas decorations. I wanted to take a picture of my DD's by the Christmas to send in the cards but they (4 yrs at the time) decided that they didn't want to be together anymore. I guess 6 days was a bit too long for them then. Now they want to stay for 2 weeks. LOL

Good luck and have fun. I am in the process of trying to squeeze another trip before our passes expire in July.

We were there last year Nov 8-16. The crowds started out being very heavy (Jersey week), but as the week went on, it was very nice there. It rained alot that week, but the weather was very nice and it wasn't hot and it wasn't cold. I definately want to go back again on that week.

Have been to WDW for the last 4 Novembers.

Crowds are minimal,weather is great [mid 70s to mid 80s] and minimal rain as well.

Have never noticed any increase in crowds on Veterans day,cannot comment on Thanksgiving as we have always been home by then.

Watching the old warplanes fly over Kissimmee on Veterans Day is nice.
Certainly makes you think of the soldiers and airmen that gave their lives in the name of freedom.

We were there last year the week before Thanksgiving (we left the sunday before thanksgiving) and the crowds were very small. We were able to walk on to just about everything. The only time that it got busy was the Saturday before Thanksgiving. But that entire week before was very quiet.

the weather was perfect. In fact I didn't bring a sweatshirt so that I could buy one. And then I had a hard time finding it cool enough to buy one!!

We are leaving this year on Friday Nov. 12 and returning on Sunday, Nov. 21.

If we are there at the same time we should arrange a meet!!

Thats sort of the dates I was looking at going... Maybe the 11th (since its a day off school) through about the 20th.

I wasnt too keen on the dates we went last year (dec 6-14th). By the time we got home it was almost Christmas and I didnt get to decorate as much as I wanted.

It would be great to meet a fellow DISer!

I just booked Nov 12 - 19. Glad to hear it is a great time to go. We have always been either the last week of Oct or first week of Nov.

Hi there! We're going Nov. 10-16 - a trip without the kids for our 20th anniversary.

What week is Jersey week?

We have gone 3 times the week before Thanksgiving. It is just perfect!!! This year we will be there Nov.13th-21st.
The weather is perfect, high 70's. The crowds from "Jersey week", Super Soap Weekend, Vet's day, and the Food and Wine festival are gone, or just leaving. Then you are out of there before the crowds from Thanksgiving arrive. It is value season at the deluxe resorts. The Christmas decorations are going up. Most rides are walk ons. It is so awesome!! We are so spoiled by this time of year that when we went in the beginning of May, we thought it was so crowded!!
