Me, DH, DS (8 yrs old), and DD (3 yrs old) will be at Disney in a few short weeks. Say we decide to go on Splash Mountain and DS and I ride first while DH waits with DD. When we return and now it is DH's turn to go, will they let DS go again with him or only DH by himself?

When we asked about child swap at Splash Mountain two weeks ago they told me that because our younger DD was tall enough to ride (but didn't want to) she would have to go in the line with us and then do the trade off at the ride itself. And yes, the older child can ride twice.

Each ride handles it their own way. Some will have you meet/switch at the exit, some make you all go in the line (if the younger child is tall enough) and others will just hand to a fastpass for child swap that you can use any time that day for up to 3 days. RnR is one of the rides that does that.

Yep, your other child can ride with the adult making the switch. My DD is sad this year because my DS7 is now tall enough to ride EVERYTHING at WDW!! Yippee no more child swaps at WDW. I think there are 3 or 4 rides at IOA that we still have to do a baby swap.
