I have read a lot of the thread on here about Swagbucks, but it is very long and I can't seem to find the answer to my question. What is the difference between Swagbacks and Swagbacks TV? I have downloaded both and they don't seem to be different.

Swagbucks is the entire enchilada! You can do pretty much everything on the swagbucks app that you can do on the dot com site. Swagbucks TV is just for watching the videos that earn swagbucks.

So if you are going to do the NOSO and the Daily Poll on your phone, then it would be helpful to have the Swagbucks app and you wouldn't even need the SWTV app, correct?

Also does anyone worry about the extra use of your laptop or phone as far as wear and tear by just letting the videos run for hours? It's taken my quite a long time to earn points. My phone has been running for hours. Just wondering if it's really worth the $1 or $2 that I've earned.

The videos that you can watch on the swagbucks app count towards the 36 SB limit per day on SBTV. But, I like SBTV because I can favorite a "10 second tip" video and it will just play from my favorites list.

I have considered wear and tear, but I made $1090 last year on swagbucks. I definitely haven't put that much wear and tear on my ipad or pc :)

Wow! That's a lot!!! I'm sure you had to do more than just watch videos to get that much. What are your tips? Also how do you find the 10 second tip videos?

The PP is making about $90/month on SB. That's about $3 per day, which is around what I averaged by running the apps and watching videos on my laptop. Some days are better than others and sometimes I shop through their portal to earn some extra SBs. It was easier last year, when you could earn more with the apps and there were more points for watching videos online.

Thank You :worship:
I could never figure out why I couldn't favorite a video in swagbucks like people said you could. I didn't realize the missing piece was the SBTV app.

Is this the thing where you link your credit card and when you use it on certain things you earn points. For example, I saw where if I buy $10 at a Regal theater, you can earn so many extra points. Is it pretty safe to link your credit card?

I have done linked offers with great success, but you can also earn points by going to Swagbucks first then linking to Amazon/Target/Petco, wherever you want to shop and you can earn points.

Edit to Add: I want to point out that you don't earn points on buying just anything at Amazon, but when you go to them through Swagbucks they show a list of what types of purchases will give you points.

No. You might be thinking about Shopkick, which gives points when you make purchases at participating B&M retailers as long as you pay with a linked CC.

Or you may be confused with PlentiPoints, which has a very small list of participating merchants and limited use for the rewards.

Or perhaps it's one of the shopping apps that tracks your purchases through the use of your loyalty cards that you've linked to their program.

I don't have any CCs linked to anything in SB. I run the apps, do some online video watching and shop through their website on rare occasions. And like I said, even with limiting my activity to those things, I still manage to reach about 300 pts./day.

When you shop through their portal, you are dealing with the merchant and not SB. SB has no clue what your CC information is.

There are a couple of offers via Swagbucks and then Trial Pay where you can link your credit card to an offer and once you complete the offer with the linked card, the points credit instantly.

For example, there was a Body Shop offer when I first started that would give you 2000 Swagbucks if you spent $20 with the linked card at the store. I went to our local Body Shop where they were having a Buy Two, Get One Free sale. Got three $10 items, paid $20 and got $20 back in SB.

But the CC isn't linked to SB. The CC is linked to Trial Pay. SB doesn't have access to your CC info. They get notified by Trial Pay when you complete an offer and that's how you get your credit.

And it's not necessary to do those offers in order to participate on SB.

I agree that it's not necessary, but they do exist. I have only done them when it's something I would use anyway. Generally, doing the videos, a few surveys here and there and shopping from websites I would normally shop at are how I get my points.

I may be thinking about Shopkick. I'm just now learning about it. That offer may have been on there.
Right now, I am running SBTV and running videos on my laptop. I haven't shopped on their website yet. But I've been running the videos for over 2 hours so far today and have earned only 44 points. That seems like a lot of time for a small amount of points. I would have to run it for about 14 hours to get 300 points! Is that correct?

Do you have more than one device to use? You can earn more points and fast by having more devices and running the other swagbucks apps like lifestyles, indymusic, movieclips and sportly and also do encrave and discover on laptop

I have three devices I can use: a Macbook, an iPad, and an iPhone. I may have access to another iPhone, too, pretty soon. I have the Swagbucks TV app and just reached my 36 SB limit today. I have no idea what lifestyles, indymusic, and sportly are. I have watched some movieclips on SBTV but they counted toward my limit; is that what you are referring, too? I remember seeing encrave on my laptop, but I haven't checked it out. Not sure what discover is.

No these are additional apps that you can download on your iPhone and ipad. Encrave and discover are similar but encrave gives you 3 swagbucks and discover usually only 2.

Almost forgot about Entertainow app too again this app can also be downloaded on iPhone and ipad

Ok, thanks! One more question--I just ordered something from Walmart through Swagbucks and picked it up in the store today. I haven't received my extra points for that. When will those show up?

It usually takes 30 days if you click on shop and earn it will say how many swagbucks you will be receiving and how many days left
