Question about strollers

I plan on either renting a double stroller in disney or using 2 umbrella stollers for the kids while we are there. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether it is better to rent or to bring your own. My main concern is space, since we are driving down, two umbrella strollers shouldnt be that much of a trunk hog. But they also dont recline, which my DD who is only about 15 months should have no problem with (she sleeps everywhere ), but my DS, who is going to be 4 while we are there is a bit more picky... Do the rental strollers recline? Oh I don't know what to do....:confused3 :confused3

I don't think the Disney strollers recline either. The good is it is only one stroller to push, the bad is you can't take it back to the room with you. But then you amy not want to fold up the stroller each night and do that either.

I'm having this dilemma too. We are driving down and will have a 2 and a 4 year old. We don't even have a double since usually only one at a time wants to ride. I'm tempted to just take one umbrella stroller with us and to leave the really big one at home. Both have more energy than me and I'm afraid we'd be pushing an empty stroller around all the time. I'm leaning toward the umbrella and we could always rent another if we find out we need it. Oh.. so many things to plan. How do people survive a trip to WDW without the dis board?

Thanx so much for your responses. I defintely have a lot to think about. I actually checked out something fairly inexpensive, umbrella type strollers that do actually recline, so that's definitely a consideration, and considering the cost of a 10 day stroller rental, Im seriously considering buying two of these and then some stroller connectors.

I now have a 3 and a 4 year old and have been a couple times the last couple years. One time we rented one and brought one - it was okay but dh and I like to baby swap to ride adult rides sometimes and it was a pain waiting with both strollers when you couldn't move them anywhere, easily, by yourself. Personally I liked it best bringing our own double side-by-side stroller. They reclined individually which is great for napping (the rentals, IMO are NOT good for napping they are hard plastic) and one of us could run ahead easily and grab fast passes while the other pushed toward the next thing on the list. Plus - the underseat storage (which the rentals don't have) is crucial for us because we bring lots of drinks and snacks.

So - my best recommendation is to go to a garage sale, borrow from a friend or whatever to get a decent double to bring with you (garage sale is best if available (or craigslist.com) - I got mine for CHEAP so if anything happens on the trip - no big deal at all). The ones that fold down shouldn't take too much extra space on the ride down.
