Question about staying on points at a Disney hotel....

from what I remember when we stayed at the Poly - yes we received the same benefits. But this may have changed. I would inquire with member services.

For DVC dining and merchandise discounts, you only need your blue DVC Member card.

All on-site resort guests get free parking at the theme parks, so that's not really a DVC benefit.

You get free valet parking at Boardwalk, Beach Club, and Wilderness Lodge with your blue DVC Member card, regardless of where you are staying. You should still tip. At any other WDW resorts with valet parking, such as Yacht Club and Grand Floridian, DVC members do not get valet free parking.

But for pool hopping, you must be staying at a DVC resorts using DVC points (and there are some restrictions even then).

Yes you do, I stayed at the Grand in 2000 and got all the perks
