Question about SSR bonus points incentive..

We are considering purchasing into SSR...the current incentive is 100 bonus
points (the free vacation) if you buy additional points or you can opt for reduced price per point ($87/pp instead of $95) The DVC guide I spoke to said the 100 points would have to be used this year by October I believe
did anyone else get the same info seems some other posts people are saying they can carry over the bonus points to next year.

I believe the confusion you have is because you are purchasing new.

Most of the posts here have referred to the SSR ADD-ON incentive for people that already own. They are able to purchase a 120 Pt. or more add-on for $87/point AND get the 100 bonus points AND can bank those points to next year AND get their maintenance fees paid on the new points and bonus points for 2005.

I am not 100% sure on the current NEW purchase incentive, but I think you are correct. You pay $95 and get the 100 bonus points for this year or you get $87/pt with no bonus. Personally, you can rent 100 points whenever you want for about $1000. The $8 off per point comes to $1200 on a 150 pt purchase. So, I would take the money off regardless.

If you plan on buying 270+ points you could always buy the 150 now at $87 and then buy a 120 point (or more) add on for $87 AND get the above mentioned perks.

Point to note: Price goes up to $97 per point soon....in June I think

We just bought a SSR contract. We were told the 100 developer's points were only good until Dec. 31, 2005. They could not be banked. We took the discount instead.
This is what is being offered for new memberships.

The confusion comes from add-on contracts: the offer for an add-on contract gives you 100 bonus points + the $87/pp price. The add-on bonus points can be banked. This is what our guide told us - we will be doing an add-on as soon as our paperwork for the 1st contract is far enough along (we were told we don't have to wait for closing) to get an additional 120 points at SSR + the 100 bonus points.

Now I'm thinking we might try to get 30 points at BWV or BCV to round us up to a nice even 300 points - 150 for each child eventually. Does add-on-itis have a cure???

Just a FYI, we've also been considering buying into DVC, I just found out last Friday that as of June the price per point is going up to $98 and that the current incentive will be gone
