Question about something from a LONG time ago (when it was only MK)

OK, I have this memory of when I went as a child and was just wondering where I could find a copy of this thing or at least a web picture.

I was very young at the time (under 6 I think). Anyway, I remember a pamplet my dad picked up somewhere in MK which had a bunch of stuff about Walt's dreams/ideas of the future (and future MK attractions). The one idea which really caught my attention as a child was a picture/idea of a "attraction". The attraction was 1 or 2 poles with "ropes" comming down from the top. It was an anti-gravity ride where you had some kind of AG belt and whould hook it up to the rope (so you wouldn't float away), then you could jump/float around in the sky.

Just wondering if there was anywhere I could see this pamplet again as it really struck a cord in my imagination as a child.

Sounds like a cross between one of those bungee cord rides and the rocket pack from James Bond! That would be a cool ride, but imagine the line for it since it could only take up one or a few at a time!

I'd check eBay. Search under "disney brochure", or "walt disney world brochure".

You almost always find "vintage" WDW brochures and often there are some pretty cool piece with conceptual art.

Sinclaire---I went to Disney for the first time in the summer of 1975--I was 14 1/2 yrs old. I still have a lot of my postcards and some pictures as well as the paper tickets....A, B, C, D & E.
Remember those?!?! I'm sorry I can't help you but have no memory whatsoever of the ride you're remembering. A very good friend of mine has been to Disney about 20 times in the last 15 yrs. I'll try to remember to ask her if she remembers any of this and will post here.

It's about Disneyland, but many of the concepts cross over. There are some links for other Disney parks but I didn't explore them. Maybe you'll have luck, or at least find some Disney history buffs.
