I am anew member at SSR. Just booked trip for Feb. at SSR, a 2BR and a studio. we have 6 adults and six kids. At the 7 month mark am going to try and switch resorts . Dont know where yet, hopefully a 3BR at OKW but not getting my hopes up. We will most likely stay with 2BR and studio. My question is how comfortable are the sleeper sofas? We will be staying 7 nights and I know some sofa beds are killers on the back. Thanks for the input.

Besides having reasonably priced Grand Villas, OKW has the best studios in one respect. They all have 2 queen beds, and not 1 bed and a sofa bed.

So, even if the GV at OKW doesn't come through, you may want to switch to a 2 bedroom (there will be 2 Q's in the not-master bedroom) and the studio at OKW.

Some people have said that the new sofa beds that SSR has are very comfortable, without the bar that gets you in the back. I don't know, we've never had anyone sleep on the new sofa beds.

I found the new beds at SSR to less comfortable than the sleeper sofa at OKW - but hey I am definitely strange.... :rotfl:

I was kind of wondering about the sleeper sofas at different resorts. DH had occassion to sleep on the sleeper sofa at OKW and he said it was very uncomfortable. He's slept on the sleeper sofa at HHI and thought it was VERY comfortable. I heard there was some refurbishment going on, so I was wondering if we got a villa with an "old" style sleeper sofa. I've heard talk on these boards about new ones somewhere that are much more comfortable.

We stayed in SSR last week and used the sleeper sofa every night. It is actaully pretty comfortable according to my mom. There is no bar sticking in your back all night. I have read on the boards that some people think they are more comfortable than the King Size bed. :goodvibes I'm not sure about that but I watched plenty of TV :happytv: in it trying to get my DDs to go to sleep each night. :thumbsup2

Just returned from SSR. The sofa beds are very comfortable. I've slept in an OKW sofa bed, and I don't remember feeling either way - comfortable or uncomfortable, but I really know that the SSR sofa bed is comfortable.

We stayed at Saratoga Springs a couple of years ago and the sofa bed had what seemed like 3 foam panels, no bar. It was very, very comfortable. We then switched to BWV part way into our trip and it was a regular sofa bed and was horribly uncomfortable. Does anyone know if they have the Saratoga Springs sofa beds anywhere but Saratoga?

I have slept on the sofa beds at HH (7 nights), BCV (3 nights), and SSR (1 night). IMHO, the sofa bed at SSR is far and away the most comfortable sofa bed I have EVER slept on. Due to room configurations and the bed itself, I would rank the bed at HH much more comfortable than that at BCV.

Does anyone have an opinion about the sofa beds @ BWV? We are taking the in-laws and nephews in April and want to get an idea before the trip. The trip is 9 months away and I'm already ready to go. Thanks.

In March I slept on the sofa bed in BWV R 5026, a studio. I was pleasantly surprised to find the bed was very comfortable. The bar didn't bother me at all. But we had a very difficult time opening it up and since we were 2 females and a chilld we just ended up leaving it partially open during the day.

I am a little worried about the sleeper sofa. We will be staying in a 1br, our first DVC stay ever over the Christmas holidays. Has anyone brought an aerobed and layed it on top of the sofa bed? Would that be crazy? I just want everyone to be comfortable and happy.
