Its approximately 7 days till Disney. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We might have some friends join us at Disney... However the resort we are staying at is booked up, which means that they have to find lodging somewhere off property (i believe). Thus, making them unable to part-take in Extra Magic Hour on Sunday night.

Which makes me curious... can i add them to our existing hotel room? There-fore allowing them to part-take in the EMH? They will have magic bands already (i think)...

You can if you are under room capacity.

Keep in mind, if you are on the Dining plan, they also will have to purchase the dining plan.

Depends.

What is the occupancy limit in your room? Can't add anyone above that. What kind of room are you staying in? If you aren't staying in a DVC villa, extra adult charges must be paid for more than 2 per room, even if they don't put you over occupancy. If you are booked with a vacation package (tickets, dining plan), everyone in your room must have the same thing, so you would have extra charges there too.

You can call Disney and see. It will depend on if the room can accommodate that number of people. You will also have to pay an additional charge per night for having more than 2 adults in a room.

Not just dining plan, but doesn't everyone on the reservation need to have the same package? So, if there are tickets attached, they would need to purchase the tickets too, right?

Have you looked into any of the other resorts? I would have thought that they could have found a room somewhere, and that would give them the extra magic hours.

If you wait until the day you arrive to add them, then if you have a package, they would not have to have the same package as you. So, if your room has an occupancy of 4 and there are only 2 of you, then when you arrive, add them for the days you need to add them. You may have to pay for an extra adult fee for those nights.

The problem with adding them at check in is that you would not be able to schedule FP+ for them until you arrive and add them.

If nothing else works out, maybe check out the Hilton at DTD. Its guests get EMH privileges.

Yep! Actually I believe that particular Hilton is owned by Tishman, the owners of the Swan/Dolphin. It's also located on Disney property.

"Extra Magic Hours are a special benefit for Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, Shades of Green® Resort and Hilton Orlando Resort (on Hotel Plaza Blvd.)."
