Hi,

I'm giving National car rental in Orlando a try for the first time. I have a full-size car reserved for the day after Easter and will pick it up in the afternoon. My guess is that it will be pretty busy.

Are there ever times when there are no cars available in the full-size section? What types of cars are usually available in the full-size section? Do the full-size cars ever come equipped with GPS and/or satellite radios without having to reserve them in advance?

Thanks!!

Yes, we have seen the full size aisle empty. We were directed to go to the Alamo section and choose a full size there.

So after you went to Alamo & picked a car did you just take it to the exit attendant or did you have to do extra paperwork? Thanks!

No we didn't have to do anything extra. Our ressie said full size and the hang tag said full size. It really wasn't a problem at all. I guess since they are owned by the same company it's something they do often.

Same thing happened to us. I had Full Size Emerald Reserve with National. There were none in the full size aisle, so the attendant told us to walk over to Alamo. We had no problems.

The GPS units that National offers are the portable ones so they would not be included in the car.

National does not let you reserve satellite radio. In my experience it's hit and miss and most of the cars with XM may not have it activated.
