Question about MYW tickets (no hopper)

I know there is a permanent thread about tickets and I already read it. I would just like to make sure that what I'm thinking is correct.

I purchased our 7 day tickets through undercover tourist at a discounted rate. We received them yesterday. Unfortunately, I'm now questioning whether we want to add one more day.

Is my thinking correct on this?????

We go to our first park and use the tickets. After we use them, we go to guest services (or something like this) and tell them we want to add one more day. They will then charge us the difference between a 7 day and an 8 day ticket (according to the disney website the price of 7 day is 234 and the 8 day is 237). As long as we use them to get in before upgrading, we will only have to pay the difference of $3 per ticket + tax (even though what we really paid for the 7 day ticket was less than 234).

Is this right? I'm really hoping that I'm right!!!

Correct - you pay only the difference between the gate price of the ticket you have and the ticket you want (provided you use those discounted tix once before upgrading). $3.

Plus the tax. So it is $3.20 for one day, $6.39 for two, etc., but you may not have more than ten days (used + unused) on a ticket.
