Does Disney have their holiday celebrations after the 31st of December? Or if we want to see the holidays at Disney do we need to go in December? Hubby and I are talking about possibly going since we would both like to see it, but it would be a lot cheaper and less crowded if we could go from January 1st - 8th rather then in December (since I don't get out of Uni until around the 20th).

I think a few things remain after Christmas, like the Osborne Family Lights. Try going right after Thanksgiving. It is still value season and the crowd level was great. We went this past year...arrived the Monday after Thanksgiving. All the Christmas decorations were up. Also, the special holiday events were going on....Epcot Storytellers, Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional, all the special holiday parades...except for the MK. We had to buy a seperate ticket for MVMCP to see this so early in the season.

Things will still be decorated the first week of January. However, if you want to see the Candlelight Processional, the Holiday parade at MK, or the Holiday storytellers at Epcot, you will have to go before New Year's.

If you go between Christmas and New Year you will pay premium rates. There will also be loads of people! We went that week 2 Christmas' ago and it was crazy. There were times when we could not walk! If you really want to experience the full Christmas feeling go in December.

I'd love to go the week after Thanksgiving but I can't. I am in University and I am determined to get my degree by the end of 2007 which means no skipping classes for Disney, especially since I can almost guarentee that I will have a test the week after Thanksgiving.

Thanks everyone for the help looks like we will be booking on the 19th and if I can't get down then hubby will go down and I'll join him on the 20th or 21st.
