Question about DVC member rental rates

On another DVC thread there is a question about moving out of DVC over the weekend, and into another resort for the two weekend nights that are point expensive. I have seen some references about DVC, and AP rates for other resorts. Can someone enlighten me with some examples of rates offered for some of these. DW would really like to stay at AKL anyhow some time, so this would prove a great opportunity to do just that.

You may want to look into member discount rates or AP rates at your DVC resort so you don't have to move out for the weekends, just pay cash. I did that the past 2 years at OKW. May 2003, I got the member discount for Friday & Saturday, it was 25% off. May 2004, I got an AP rate for Friday night, about 30% off ($270 plus tax 1 bedroom). With the member discount, they link the reservation so you don't even have to checkout/check-in. With the AP rate, I had to checkout and check back in on Friday morning but we kept the same room.
