Question about Donald's Breakfast -time?

I've read many mixed reviews and most of the bad ones indicated that it's crowded and they felt rushed. Do you think this has to do with the time of the day? Was it because after AK opens more non-PS holders want to get in also? Do you think it is less hectic before the park opens?

I'm debating between Cape May and Donald's. I like the traditional characters at Donalds but I hate getting up early (we'd have to be at the bus stop by 7:30AM). I guess with Cape May it's not a lot of different (be at bus stop at 8AM). We also want to enjoy our meal and not feel rushed. Plus at AK we'd like to do the safari in the morning as well.

we did donalds at 8:00....didnt really feel rushed at all...actually, you cannot walk around the park till 9 anyway so I bet we were in the breakfast close to an hour (waited about 10 minutes before they dropped the rope)

Wow we must be on the same train of thought today. I was checking out my Birham's book and my son saw it. Does anyone know how usy this is in Oct? Also when booking a PS do they charge for the total cost of the meal or do they charge you a certain amount and then the balance at time of dining. the PS calculator say to book in July for Oct but could I book it now?

They don't charge you at all for PSs. It is what every other restruant in the world calls "call ahead seating". Your name is on a wait list and you get the next available table after your PS time. Hope that makes sense.

Now, we've eaten at Donald's at about 9:30 and were never rushed. This was one of our better character meals, best breakfast (did CP--yuck!--& CM for breakfast also). The food was fresh, hot foods hot & cold foods cold. The server was friendly, but not pushy. Characters came around multiple times. Goofy even bee-lined it to our table to try and cheer up the baby when he started to cry. Had some space between tables (at CP I felt like I was sitting on some strangers lap). And while loud, not as loud as Crystal Palace.

It's a popular breakfast, so book it as early as you can, which is 90 days from the day you want to go. You can not book any earlier than 90 days in advance.

Have fun,

Bob

I actually have a PS for both meals already. When I called they seemed to have several times available. I'm wondering if I should wait until I get there and see how we feel and all with getting up early. The night before AK we are doing Epcot's EMH evening - we could leave earlier than midnight of course to get to bed a little earlier. :)

We have a PS for it also in June, but I am also afraid that we will be exhausted the night before.

From what I understand, it is OK not to show up for it if you change your mind. It isn't like the Cinderella breakfast where they charge you a deposit.

How late can you call to cancel a PS? If we are too tired the night before, can you call as late as 1:00 am to cancel?
