Question about Dollar Rent a Car at the airport.

We've only rented from Alamo on previous trips and love that they are located right in the airport. I just got a better rate through Dollar, and although I know they are located at the airport, are they as convenient as Alamo? Can you just walk out of the airport, cross the street to the garage, pick out your car, and "check out" at the attended booth?

We have used Dollar three times in Orlando and always had great service. I would sign up for the Dollar Express as their lines can be long and that way you can get right through the line without waiting.
