I'm an AP Holder, and I just have a quick question about the DDE.

Does the $50 rate include the tax? Or should I write it as a charge for $53.25 ($50 + 6.5% FL sales tax)?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks for your help! :) Hopefully it'll charge soon! It's been a week, and not even a hold has been placed on the money!

::MickeyMo If you only ordered it a week ago, you still have a bit of a wait. I ordered mine January 25th, but my card wasn't even charged until March 3rd. I used a debit card, so it was a big pain making sure there was always enough money. Just so you know, you probably have about 5 more weeks. Sad...I know. ::MinnieMo

Dan, make sure you get the emailed or faxed letter giving you permission to get the discount if you're going to WDW anytime soon! You may have to call them back to get it. I ordered the card on Feb 8, called for the letter a few weeks ago, and just saw today that the charge hit my credit card on March 20! If you're not going soon, you can wait for the card, since the letter will have an expiration date on it. :flower:

I have an AP now and am looking into the DDE. We are planning another trip in Dec. My AP will no longer be good. Will the DDE card still be good then?

Thanks, Janet :confused3

I used my debit card and it wasn't charged for quite a while - a month or more - however, money was put on hold (authorized) immediately. It dropped off before the actual charge. If you haven't even authorized I think I might call and check on your order.

I saw this on another thread and they said yes, it would be.

It's offered to AP holders and FL residents.

I am not sure but I thought anyone could get the DDE card for $75 but for AP/FL it was $25 off making it $50 instead of $75.

Can anyone else confirm my take on this. :earsgirl:

No, it's only open to AP holders and FL Residents. There was some confusion back in January about this.

Am I correct in that you order one card, and it is good for every member of your family? Unlike the MYW dining where you have to purchase one plan for everyone...??

The person signing up for the DDE card can get a card for a spouse (adult in the same household).
I renewed recently. They did ask on the form when my AP anniversary date is. (January) But if they have actual access in to the guest AP records, I would think they could see that themselves. :confused3
Hard to say why they ask the annivrsary date and if it really matters. I suppose they may have replied if my anniversary date was just before or around the same time I was renewing DDE. :scratchin

Yes, the DDE is good for up to 10 people in the party. But the cardholder must be present.

With the DDE card it is good for up to 10 people in your group.

EDIT- Whoops... we were posting about the same time. I am just slow.

::MickeyMo It is good for you and up to 10 people in your party. You do get a second card for another member in your household. ::MinnieMo

::MickeyMo I used a debit as well and there was never a hold on the money. It was a big pain too. ::MinnieMo
