::MickeyMo MYW=Magic Your Way. The new ticket system. It's open to everyone but you can only get the dining as a package. ::MinnieMo

The person signing up for the DDE card can get a card for a spouse (adult in the same household).
I renewed recently. They did ask on the form when my AP anniversary date is. (January) But if they have actual access in to the guest AP records, I would think they could see that themselves. :confused3
Hard to say why they ask the annivrsary date and if it really matters. I suppose they may have replied if my anniversary date was just before or around the same time I was renewing DDE. :scratchin

::MickeyMo It doesn't necessarily have to be a spouse. Just someone in the same household over 21.

Maybe they send you a special offer for your anniversary or something. ::MinnieMo

Not necessarily. I tried to get one for my father, we live in the same house, and they said no because he wasn't a spouse.

I ordered my card already. I was worried they would change the rules again. There are two now that have changed since January....the second card only to a spouse and who can get the DDE card.

Correct -- DDE issues one primary membership card with an option for one additional card for a spouse. Both must reside at the same address and be 21 years or older.

This card is available to everyone. You do not have to be a FL resident or an A/P holder. If you are one of these it will cost $50.00 if you are not it will cost $75.00. I spoke to Disney back in February and double confirmed that it was open to all. Seems like a good deal!

I heard they have changed this, it is back to only AP or FL Res. They are being strict about getting your AP # if not Florida Resident.

I got a card for my mom, they said anyone over 21 in the same household.

Disney Addict -- I would be VERY surprised if they were doing this. I know I have been told by Guest Services this is not the case. Although there was a misunderstanding in the DDE dept early this year.
I think it is the wording:
$75 for a general membership
$50 for PAP/AP/SeasonalPassholders
$60 for renewals (existing memberships received within 30 days of DDE membership expiration)

But the General Membership is for FL residents, is my understanding.
So guests need to be an active Passholders or Florida Residents to sign up or renew for a DDE membership.
You will read even here on various threads that non-FL residents must have a AP or voucher number to sign up for the DDE membership.

Thanks for the updated info! I will contact DDE on Monday. Now I am mad that I did not get it back in February when I contacted them. The CSR told me to wait until I was closer to my trip to order! I guess between this and possible discounts I need to consider being an AP!

The general membership is Fl residents. Orginally this was a program only for Florida residents and the last few years we even had to give our drivers license number in order to get or renew the card. It is now opened for AP holders as well.
