Just starting to research a cruise…can someone please explain to me at what point in the process do you select your preference for early or late dining?

Thanks so much!

Once you have gone through booking traveler and selecting a room then decided about trip protection, and made your deposit, you should be able to look in your reservations and maybe scroll down a little and you will see which dining seating they have placed you in. If you would like to change it, click to edit and choose your preferred time.

They seem to default to late dining when booking online. It’s not uncommon that the option to switch to main (early) dining is not available at the time you book, but you can request to be put on the wait list for main dining. On the few occasions where we have not booked on opening day, we’ve had to do that. We’ve been fortunate that the wait list has always come through, but some report having to wait until onboard to request a change if the wait list did not come through.

I just booked 4 cruises and was able to change to main dining on all 3 that I wanted main dining for immediately after my Initial payment had gone through. :)
