Hello, guys!
I have a question about dining + disney transportation.

I have an ASMovies reservation for January 31-February 9 but I would like to try some others Disney resorts restaurants besides mine. So, my question is if I am able to do this:

-Leave some disney park
-Take Disney bus to another hotel besides mine
-Have dinner there
-Take Disney bus back to the park
-Then finally take disney bus to my hotel

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english!

Yes, you can. But I would replace "bus" with "transportation."

You are free to use Disney Transportation to get to lunch, dinner or to just walk around another resort.

Many people love riding the Monorail. You can do that, getting off at each resort to just look around.

There are pay to play options for transportation, but you can get from the parks to all of Disney's resorts without charge.

Yes, anyone can take any Disney transportation for free (even if you are not a Disney hotel guest).

And as you point out there is transportation from every hotel to every park, but not between hotels (except for the monorail hotels).

From Hollywood or epcot you can walk/ boat to the epcot resorts.

From mk you can also take the boat to wilderness lodge or fort wilderness.

Fort wilderness has hoop de doo dinner show, which we love

Yes, absolutely. Depending on your resort/park combinations, you may be using other forms of transportation besides buses, including boats and monorails.

Yay! That's really nice to hear, guys!
Big thanks! I'm so excited!

Just another quick question, is it possible to do this after the park closes? or it's too risky because when I get back to the park (after had dinner at some other hotel) I may not be able to get disney transportation back to my hotel?

If you want to stay late at the resort you're at, that's okay! Take a bus from the resort you're eating at to Disney Springs. There you can get on a bus back to your resort.

Oh, Great idea! big thanks!

Do you know if there's a disney springs bus at the parks?
like EP -> Disney Springs ?
and do you know what time the hotel buses stop to go to the parks? because I'm afraid I wont be able to get back to the park to get my own hotel bus.

I don't think that there is a parks to Disney Springs bus. We generally stick to Epcot & MK and stay at the monorail resorts so we don't see the bus areas often but I don't remember ever seeing a Disney Springs stop at the bus areas when we do use them. The parks stop running buses back to the resorts about 2 hours after park close, but we have been there during non-peak times when they stopped running them sooner.

Honestly, I wouldn't stress over getting back to your resort. Disney will not let you be stranded somewhere. Like I said, if you stay later than you expected at the dinner resort you're visiting, just take the bus to Disney Springs. I believe the buses there run until somewhere between midnight-2am.

What resorts were you planning on visiting for dinner?

You can go to Disney springs and get a bus back to your hotell from there

There are buses from the parks to Disney springs starting at 4pm but not disney springs to the parks

I'm crazy to visit these: Polynesian, Fort Wilderness, Coronado, Caribbean, AK Lodge and Port Orleans :)

Polynesian: take the monorail from MK.
Fort Wilderness: take the boat from MK
Coronado, Caribbean, and AK Lodge: take the bus from any theme park. To get back to home resort, take bus back to any park or Disney Springs.
Port Orleans as a boat that goes to Disney Springs. So, from a theme park, take a bus to Port Orleans, then the boat to Disney Springs. From Disney Springs, take the bus to your resort.

Keep in mind, all of these trips will take quite a bit of time. The moderate resorts don't have a restaurant worth traveling to for dinner. If you have a non-park day scheduled and plan on going to Disney Springs anyway, it is really a nice boat ride to Port Orleans.

Except for the Poly, FtW and AKL, I agree, especially since you want to go back to the park you came from after dinner.

I've heard good things about the restaurant at POR (I'm blanking on the name at the moment, and too lazy to look it up), but I would do that on a day you're going to DS, rather than a park day.

Boatwright's is the restaurant at POR. I've been there a couple of times when staying at POR. I agree it's good, but wouldn't go to POR just to eat there. I agree to go here on a DS day, rather than a park day, and I think DS has better choices of restaurants than Boatwrights. But, you can certainly look up the menu for Boatwright's, as well as the DS restaurants, and decide where to eat that day.

One other thing: you can very easily take the monorail from Epcot to visit the Polynesian. The monorail goes to the ticket and transportation center, which is adjacent to the poly. Like a 1 minute walk from the monorail station.

After your meal, I'd get a taxi or Uber. It's going to take a very long time in most cases to get to a park (or DS) and then back to your hotel.

I was thinking about that, uber could be a nice way to get back faster, right? big thanks for the tip!
