Question about DDP

Yes, but the rules are the same: if you aren't an AP holder you'd have to buy a ticket to go with each part of your reservation.

MYW + Dining Pkgs include at least a 1 day base ticket, Disney resort room and your choice of Dining Plan.

They attach the plan with the hotel.

So if u wanted...you can do the Regular DDP while at one hotel and the Deluxe DDP at the second hotel. Or you can do one plan the entire trip. It will switch to the new hotel/card when you move.

You could do it easily if you are an AP holder or one of your stays (probably the second stay if you buy tickets with the first stay) is at a DVC resort.

Otherwise, you'd have to buy tickets for both reservations.

Granted, if one wanted to do this, one could get multiday tickets to cover the entire stay at the first resort, then one-day base tickets at the second resort, and keep the one-day base tickets since they don't expire. But to me that sounds like too much effort just to get the dining plan.

I don't think this is so, I think you have to have a separate reservation at the second resort and the two reservations are not combinable. Your tickets could exceed the amount of time on the first reservation, but the dining plan can't.

Can you do the DDP if you are staying at two different resorts? How would this be possible?

Yes, it is possible if you purchase at least a 1 day ticket for both resort stays. This isn't very cost effective, since the tickets aren't greatly discounted until after the 3rd or 4th day.

You could purchase enough days to cover your entire stay, on your tickets for your 1st reservation, and then...

1) Purchase a 1 day ticket, but not use it, save it to apply to the cost of the next trip.

2) Not do the DP for the second resort. This way you can still experience two different resorts.

I meant that it will switch to the new plan when you switch hotels.

The old DP will last until check out and then be deactivated.
