Question about DDP and park tickets.

We are going in Oct, renting from a board member. This will be our first trip trying out DVC, we are thinking about joining in the future.

Anyway, we received our reservation, and we had requested the DDP, which I see is on the reservation. My understanding was that we can pay for that when we arrive at the resort. So, the last thing we need is park tickets. Should we buy them from Disney ahead of time? Or can we buy them when we pay for the DDP? I was planning on getting them ahead of time, but if they can tie them to our door keys if we buy them at the resort, then that's one less thing we have to keep track of. Also, I didn't know if the DDP had to be tied to the park tickets at all. I didn't think so, just thought that was tied to your number of nights stayed.

So, if someone can set me straight, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Andy

You get the DDP for the number of nights that you stay. Your ticket is independent of the DDP, especially for DVC points stays.

You can purchase your tickets anywhere you like.

AS far as adding them to your room key, yes, they can add tickets you purchased elsewhere to your room key, as long as it is a completely unused ticket. The will not transfer partially used tickets.
