question about codes and dates

How exactly do the codes work if your dates aren't on all the dates the code is applicable? I know that for free dining, as long as you check in on one of the dates, you get it for your whole trip, but what about the others?

For example, since I'm hoping for an April code, what if a room discount becomes available April 16 - 20. However, I am there the 14-22. Will I be able to get a room discount for the nights I am there? What if it was kids stay and play, with the same example? Would I just get "free" tickets for the days we were there during the promo? And could I add days, and pick my tickets up when we checked in on the 14 (if the promotion doesn't start until after we arrive).

I did not know that, that was how the free dining worked. I booked 2 separate reservations because the free dining wasn't offered for all of our dates. I would love to know how that works too?

I believe that is how the free dining works, but I could be wrong!! I am new at this, so hopefully someone will be able to let us know if this is correct or not. And I should clarify, that I meant that if the free dining was the 7-20, and you check-in on the 20, you get it the remainder of your trip. but if you check in before the 7, I don't think you would get it. I hope that makes sense...I'm probably just making a mess of this explanation. Hopefully someone will come along and clarify.

Free Dining: If your check in date is during the Free Dining promotion dates you will get Free Dining for your entire stay.
Room Discounts: You will only get the room discount only for the nights that the offer applies to. For example - If the room discount is for April 1st through April 15th - And you check in on April 10th and check out on April 20th, you will get the room discount for April 10th - April 15th...you will pay rack rate on you room April 16th - April 20th.
Kids Stay and Play - I believe (but am not 100% certain) - the same rules apply as Free Dining - if your check in date is during the promotions dates, you will get it for you entire stay.

Thanks for the info - I had no idea that is how it works. We are coming in one day before the free dining so I booked the first night with a room only discount and the rest of our stay with the free dining. I had them link our reservation so we shouldn't (hopefully) have to change rooms. Too bad they didn't swing the free dining both ways.

I have reservations for ft. Wilderness cabins for 10/26 - 11/2 with a AAA discount. The new code starts for 10/30. I called to ask if i could get it for 10/30 - 11/2. The lady first said no that i was coming in before it started so couldn't get it. Then she said she could split my reservation into 2 so i could get it for the last 3 nights. that works for me....
AAA discount was 15% and now the last 3 nights are 20%. Not a huge amount of money but it will buy lunch a day....
