Question about characters with a late ADR

I am planning for a trip at the beginning of April and my mom and sister have decided to meet us for the weekend while we are there. I wanted to have a Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Fare but the only reservation available is at 8:20pm. That is really late (especially for my 5 year old), but better than nothing I guess. When I look at the restaurant info it says the dinner is from 4:30-8:30. Does that mean the characters are done then or is that just the latest meal you can book?

We've never done a character meal close to closing time, but other people on the DIS have said that the characters will make sure to meet everyone at least once

The characters go around until they've seen everyone at least once. They check with each table to make sure you've seen them before they take the characters away.
