Question about booking process

This may be a silly question, but is it necessary to bank any points needed for a reservation that will take place during your next UY, BEFORE calling at the 11-month booking window? Or will MS take care of point banking/allocation as part of the booking process?

Specifically, I'm wanting to know if this is something that will require more time on the part of MS if done when booking, thereby affecting the speed at which a reservation can be made. If it's necessary or more advantageous to bank the points in advance of calling at the 11-month window, then that's what I'll do...I don't want to waste precious time on the phone when I'm trying for a reservation with such extremely limited availability (AKV Concierge). However, if it's something that can be done simultaneously during the booking process, then I'd prefer to wait on banking, just in case we decide that we need to use some of those points during our current use year.

It will require a minute or two, as they'll need to bank and then give you banking confirmation number. It can be done during the same phone call.

I am assuming that you want to book concierge stay during the eleven month window, for the stay to take place during your next use year, and you want to use those banked points for the reservation. If that is the case then the points should be banked before they make the reservation, it can be all part of the same phone call, but as I said, it is a separate transaction with a separate confirmation number.

You can bank on-line via the MS website. If you do it a couple of days before your call, you can see the change on-line. If anything keeps you from doing it on-line, you still will have plenty of time to call MS prior to B day.

Banking online is very easy and you see the results quickly. You also get an email confirming. I will always bank online from now on so I can use that valuable time with MS to try and get the elusive AKV concierge.

I banked my points online a day before calling to make my reservation. Banking online was quick and painless!

And...good news! I got the ressie for AKV Concierge!
