Question about Boardwalk Preferred View?

We're taking out first trip to Broadwalk in April/May and we will be staying in a 1 bedroom preferred view. I understand that there are several types of "preferred views." Can I request a "preferred view" of the water overlooking BCV (our home). I just don't know enough about how BWV are set up and if that is an option, what is it called???? - the water view???

I think the preferred view at the BWV overlooks the pool and canal area. I think to see the BCV, you have to get a Boardwalk view.

I may be wrong though.

The view of the water is a Boardwalk view and that is a specific reservation. Even if you had that view you would see the BC but not the BCV's. If you don't have a guaranteed Boardwalk view room now, you can go on a waitlist for one but they are hard to get.

The preferred view rooms look out toward either the theme pool, the quiet pool or the canals. You might have a view of MGM and/or the Swan and Dolphin. There are many very nice preferred view rooms. Most are very quiet on the back side of the resort.
