This is probably a weird question, at least my non-Disney loving friends thought so, where and how do you keep your stash for pressed pennies? I've never flown, so I don't even know if it's allowed...Can I keep them in my purse or carry-on? TIA!!!!

You can carry cash and change on the plane either in your personal item or carry-on.

I keep them in an M&M tube in my carryon. I took it out and put it in the bin next to my 3-1-1 bag just so it wouldn't look strange thru the x-ray machine in the bottom of my bag. I wouldn't pack money in my checked bags.

Step 1: Go to store and buy multiple tubes of M&M candies.

Step 2: Eat candies (does not have to be done all in one sitting)

Step 3: Collect piles of pennies and quarters

Step 4: Place coins in the tube in the following manner: two quarters, one penny, two quarters, one penny... repeat until tube is full.

Step 5: Place filled tubes in checked baggage, stuffing them into unused suitcase corners, inside shoes, etc.

Step 6: Before leaving for the parks, add one or tubes to whatever bag you're taking to the parks.

Step 7: Laugh at all the idiots who are digging in their pockets for change while you swoop in, place your correctly sorted change in the machine, and continue on your marry way.

Note: Laughing at idiots may be replaced by looks of sympathy, depending on mood.

Step 8: Enjoy!

until you come across a penny press machine that is priced different than 51¢ LOL

Um, I wouldn't put them in my checked luggage. That would seem, to me at least, a surefire way to get your bags checked by security.
I like to carry mine in my carryon bag. Of course, be sure there isn't a rip in the lining of your bag, and the roll of quarters falls into that ripped area!!!! It does cause quite the commotion at the screening area!!! And a lot of embarrassment for the owner...:headache::rolleyes1

I now put mine change (in those candy tubes) inside a ziploc baggie, in my carryon bag. Haven't had an issue since doing it that way.

Different strokes... personally, you couldn't pay me lug to a couple of rolls of change around the airport:lmao:.

It sounds to me like you are asking for the return trip and they are already pressed....if that is correct then.....buy a pressed coin holder from a Disney store in one of the parks.

2 years ago they were 10.95

I have some old canisters that 35mm film used to come in. They are perfect to hold quarters and pennies. I put them in my carry on and have no problems.

Have to ask how a roll of either pennies or quarters is any different than a candy cannister of pennies/quarters??

If you are asking how to bring home the pressed pennies, I just put all mine in a ziploc baggie.

There isn't any difference - I'm just saying that I always pack change in my checked luggage, because there's no way I'm lugging anything more than I have to through the airport.:goodvibes

I know who works at airports. I wouldn't put money in my checked bag if you paid m double :lmao:

This year I have an extra long Airborne tube for the car. We'll be at Harry Potter world and the Atlantic during our stay so I'll need the extra toll change.
