It's been a bad Monday and I've had enough. I've spent more than 4 hours on the phone yesterday and today regarding my email with my isp. It took me 2 hours to change all my emails to my alternate, because they said there was nothing they could do. Some of them wanted to send a verification email to my old address so I could validate it, but of course I couldn't get any email. I ended up on the phone for 45 min with one, and on chats for even longer trying to get everything working again. I even called the company that owns the new system. They told me to email them and they'd look into it. Finally a supervisor at my ISP created a trouble ticket, and sent it to email support.

I could send emails, but couldn't get any incoming ones. All of a sudden, about 30 minutes ago, emails from last Friday till today came flooding through, all saying bounce back. Trouble is, they keep sending duplicates of them. I just junked and deleted 50 spam emails. So I changed everything for nothing. But I even had my bank send me a test email this morning and it never showed up in my phone, or my email, or my Thunderbird (which is what I have been using for 25 years.). I'm not changing anything back until they call me and tell me what the issue was and why they couldn't fix it. So many customers have been calling about the same thing.

Then I go to get the mail, and find my gas line is painted yellow. No one else's, just mine. I call and she says there's no work order for anything at your address, I don't know what to tell you.

Then Dave was supposed to be here at 2. At 2:30 I texted him, got no answer. At 3 I called and again at 3:30 and no answer, and doesn't go to voicemail. It's 60 degrees out and he could have had those steps all done and the forms gone.

I am just so tired of everything right now.

@lynxstch, I really hope tomorrow is better. Your email situation is requiring so much time. I hope it gets straightened out. Emails are so important and very hard to begin anew.

Right now I am in the hospital. I’m not as healthy as I wish I were. Brain, heart, blood questions. I truly hope I get out tomorrow so we can celebrate Thanksgiving with family and recruits.

Lynn, I can hear your frustration. I hate dealing with all that stuff, too. 😬 If it’s any consolation, I was in paperwork hell today, too. I had a lot of things I had to do for insurance, including filling out multiple forms. Then I had authorization forms to print up, fill out and send back, as well, but my printer wouldn’t print them completely, it would only print one page of like 3, so I had to keep futzing with it. I then got into other “mail” issues around the kitchen and wound up dealing with sorting and paying bills until almost 8pm. So I was basically at it for most of the day. Ugh. Not how I wanted to spend my day. I hope your email gets squared away and that you have a better day tomorrow. Email is both a blessing and a curse.

Bobbi, so sorry to hear you’re in the hospital dealing with all that right before your special day with your family and the recruits. Saying prayers for you right now and will continue daily. Please PM me if there’s anything I can do to help. :flower3:

Mona, hoping things are getting squared away with your plans, too.

Well here it is 3am and I'm wide awake. It could be because I ate dinner and decided to rest a bit at 6pm! Guess I went out like a light!

DD had cooked our dinner and as usual it was my job to clean up. Just finished that. The cats are confused that I'm awake but Dog is sleeping soundly.

Going to try to sleep another hour or so now that I've done my chores.

Bobbiwoz Sending prayers to you and hoping you are able to get home for Thanksgiving.

Pea and Lynn Sorry you both were in mail/email purgatory all day in one way or another. That is so frustrating.

Good morning. It is 31 here now with temps heading up near 50. I did get to walk at the lake yesterday and just enjoyed being out in nature. Birds calling and dogs and humans walking. It is nice to say hello to people and say hi to the doggies. I got out all the stuff I need to make the desserts for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I will make the cranberry orange cheesecake bars and the small lasagna I am making for me to have on Thanksgiving day. Thursday will be chocolate cream pie, blueberry pie, blondies and brownies. I feel like baking this year and not having to eat all of what I bake. I can have a taste and leave the rest to others. My left shoulder has been hurting me for a few days especially when I make certain movements and I think it is a leftover of lugging a heavy suitcase around and on and of the luggage carousel and beds. I got a heating pad from Amazon yesterday, used it twice, and my shoulder is feeling really good now. So thankful.

I am finding it hard to get into work this week. I know my mind is all over the place with the holidays coming up and thinking about retirement. But, I am getting closer to making the decision to retire next year probably later in the year. I have a couple of dates in mind but I will have to see what works the best for me. I like Aug 31 as Sept will be a busy month with a Disney trip and Kenny's wedding then another trip in Oct and then the holidays. It gives me things to do and the senior center programs begin in Sept as well as the senior college. Seems like a plan.

Have a good day.

Good morning . It's 44 now heading for 48 with rain.
I was so mentally tired last night I was in bed asleep by 11 (2 hours earlier than usual), and slept for 8 hours. I can't remember the last time I slept that long.

So far email seems to be working, except for the multitude of spam ones that are coming through.

@Snowysmom Those cranberry orange cheesecake bars sound delicious. Could you share the recipe when you have a chance please?

Not planning on doing too much. I need to get my turkey thighs out of the freezer to defrost, and I need to defrost the ground beef to make my grandmothers 'french' stuffing (no idea why she always called it french, but it's my favorite. I like it better reheated and on buttered bread).

The car Summer drove an hour to test drive yesterday turned out to be a dud. She drove it for 1/2 hour, up and down hills, on the highway, etc. After that amount of time, she said the car started to smell, something was burning. She went back to the dealer, handed him the keys, thanked him for wasting her time, and left. She drove to Cincinnati last night. She's going to look at a couple of cars there, the drive her husband home for Thanksgiving. He has to be back on Dec 3. There's a local guy who has 2 cars coming in tomorrow and he's giving her first shot at them. Maybe one of them will be the one she's meant to have.

@bobbiwoz I hope it's nothing serious and that you are home for the holiday. Sending prayers and pixie dust.

Have a great last Tuesday of November

Good morning, friends. Lighter, brighter, and healthier Tuesday prayers to all. It is such a blessing that we are still together by God's hand. I thank each of you, too.

Lotus Flooring is coming this morning. We will also talk with the main maintenance man M, here. We definitely, God-willing, should have more information later this afternoon.

Meantime, I have been extra blessed to enjoy three uninterrupted nights of sleep. M, my roommate, God Bless her, has been in the hospital. Prayers for her indeed. It has been incredible to have peace overnight. Sleep is so crucial. I do have friends and advocates working on bettering this situation more permanently for me as long as I am here.

Therapy, by God's grace, I continue to make progress. I am praying to know by the end of today that I finally have two sessions of therapy Monday-Friday. More on that to come.

Extra hug to all.

Good morning and thank you for special prayers and wishes. I will go home today, and a script for a new medicine and for a scan in an open MRI. They don’t have one here. Numerous CT scans showed good results. I have cardiologist in January.

I’ll be making two cranberry sauces and start the stuffing tomorrow…looking forward to and am very grateful for being able to go home.

Wonderful news to read. I'm looking forward to cooking our Thanksgiving meal - I'm doing two cranberry sauces as well, if you could opening a can as one of them  hahah I'm new to the cranberry sauce wagon, but now that I'm on it I'm firmly Team Real Cranberry Sauce!!

Haven't started making anything for Thursday yet, but the shopping is done.

Went to see Wicked: For Good last night, and loved it!

Hoping to get the outdoor lights out this afternoon.
