Good morning. It is 54 here now with temps heading to 77. Yesterday I went to the Children's Museum in Boston with Jeff and the kids. It was alot of fun. We did alot of walking for sure.

Today is 4 years since Chris passed and I still miss him like crazy. It will be a tough day and I will need to keep busy.

Seems to me as if that 4 years has sped by as I remember starting to read around the time your Chris left for heaven.

I really want to take a Boston/Cape/Newport trip. Maybe next year. I would want a companion/family member for that and would travel late September into early October. It's just that it gets so busy and with my good friend having gone back to work and my other friend pressed into being a sitter for her grands, they just can't run away for a week easily with me. I almost feel like putting an ad out there - need mature female traveling companion. Lodging paid, buy your own food and drink and halfsies on travel expenses such as gas. I'll be traveling alone to Disney in October. Have managed to get 4 nights BWV garden view and then the Swann for 2 more. Can always shorten to just 4 but probably won't unless I do it before I leave due to cancel policies.

@Snowysmom - glad you enjoyed your trip to WDW. I would love to do a family trip with all the kids. Glad you had fun at the children's museum. I took Mia to ours a couple of weeks ago and had a lot of fun. It's just fun to watch her have fun and see how she plays. Hope you do something special for the 4 year mark. I know it's going to be rough.

I had my old video recorder tapes transferred over to a flash drive. I've had fun watching all of them. Very disappointed in myself that I didn't record more, especially with kids #2 & #3. I really feel like I shortchanged them. But it was fun and a little weird at the same time. Strange to see my mom, who has been gone for 25 years, and to hear my dad talking, he's been gone for 15 years. The saddest part was watching my kids at their big footballs games. Don't ask me why that was the part that made me tear up. I'm so mad that when I recorded a couple of our Disney trips, all I recorded was the parade!!! Really?! Record the kids!!

Yesterday I took Mia to the pumpkin farm. She had a lot of fun, she did the pony ride and asked to go again. She picked out a little pumpkin and just played. It felt like 90 degrees outside yesterday, so dang hot!!!! We had to get 2 peach slushies and find some shade. I've been trying to let her spend the night every couple of weeks, she's always asking to come to my house. This past week I painted the spare bedroom that she uses. She requested pink, so pink it is. I found some really cute "girlie" curtains for her room on Amazon, so I'll be ordering those soon.

I don't really have much going on. Been telling myself to get outside and walk, but I just don't have any desire. I'm off this weekend so I'm going to work out in the yard. My Halloween decorations are already up, but I need to get rid of the flowers in the pots around the yard.

Someone hit my car a few weeks ago, nothing major, he didn't even have damage to his car. I'm dropping it off to get fixed tomorrow and have a rental car set up for the week. Everything will be going through the guy's insurance.

My Reds made it to the baseball playoffs !!!! Very excited for them. @flyingdumbo127, they're playing your Dodgers starting tomorrow. To be honest, I really don't think we'll get past them, but I have my fingers crossed we can win . Now the Bengals ... that's a whole different discussion that needs alcohol when talking about.

Should be very nice outside today and I'm stuck inside at work. Everyone have a great day!!

@Judique - your WDW plans was making my head spin! Glad you can keep it all straight!!

I understand! It's a combo of checking the websites a few times a day and putting in waitlists. I'm bold now because the waitlist came through for the same night as Moonlight Magic at Boardwalk Villas, where I have the preceding nights. I NEVER expected that would work out. Then I move to Swan Hotel but meanwhile I'm waitlisting one night of that just in case I have more luck.

I have to write it all down as I'm doing it to be able to keep it straight, even though it's in front of me on my laptop. They don't show which points I've used. I also need to keep that up to date so I can change out what the waitlist took if say I want to save a contract for later. I'm using October 2025 and 2026 points which both are good for a year after they are given, so I never know which direction I might want to sail in next.
